Slip of the Tongue- Paul Thek

Meat Pieces

Untitled- This piece was a glass box containing two layers of flesh on the wall. This Piece has hair and the texture of human flesh made from beeswax. Decorating the room the artist intentions was to have the piece displayed as you would have flowers displayed in your home. Though to be sado-masochistic in the times when minimal art was at its peak the artist wanted to return the raw human fleshy characteristics to art.

Untitled (meat Cables)

This piece in order to see it you had to look up at the wire cables which looked like they were holding some structural purpose to the building. Looking like bits or rotting meat I found them intriguing. They looked like pieces of meat left out for some vulture to consume.
